Carrabba's Team Blythe Race Against Drugs 2002 at Oaklane Raceway
On Saturday, September 21, 2002 Carrabba's Team Blythe Offshore Racing team was invited to participate at the Oaklane Raceway in Traumbauersville, PA for the Race Against Drugs. Carrabba's Team Blythe set up their tents. Tee shirts, boat tours, safety gear demonstrations and video presentations were made available to the crowd. The event started at noon and lasted until midnight. There were members of DARE police squad on hand to talk to children about the dangers of doing drugs. A medi-evac helicopter flew in to add to the excitement of the day. The kids were able to go on board to get a first hand look at the inside of a medical helicopter as well as Carrabba's Team Blythe race boat. There was a 50/50 and raffles to help raise money and awareness of the dangers of drugs. The day was enjoyed by 1000's of people from the Tri-State area. Carrabba's Team Blythe were such a big hit, that they have already been invited back for next years Race Against Drugs.
