Carrabba's Team Blythe Wins in Cape Cod

Rack up another APBA win for Carrabba's Team Blythe in Cape Cod, Massachusets. The weather conditions on race day were cold and windy but the locals still came out in large numbers to watch the offshore racing event. As Team Blythe made it's entrance to the race course, they could see large crowds gathering on the beaches of Nantucket Sound.

Driver/owner Todd Blythe said the race conditions were very rough. The waves were ten feet high and many boats broke down along the race course. But Team Blythe passed them by and kept on going to be the first boat across the finish line and secure the teams second APBA win in 2002.

Due to the rough race conditions, some of the racers had severe bruising and some had broken bones to report. A few of the race boats sustained severe fiberglass damage. A couple of these high powered race boats suffered major water damage because of boats literally breaking in two. As traumatic as this all sounds we are happy to report there were no serious injuries to any of our competitors. As for Carrabba's Team Blythe we are happy to report not only another win for the team but a boat and crew that came through unscathed.

This win moved the team into first place point standings in the APBA, making P5-14 the number one boat of it's class in the country.

Special thanks to Carrabba's Italian Grille, Team Blythe's main corporate sponsor for making the 2002 season a winning one!
