Carrabba's Team Bltyhe Takes Podium Finish at the Dania Beach Grand Prix July 15- 17, 2005

Carrabba's Team Blythe next traveled to Dania Beach to enter the Dania Beach Grand Prix. Dania Beach is located on the east coast of Florida just a whisker above Miami. There were huge swells created by approaching tropical storms for the team to deal with, however the team did secure a third place finish for this event. The team was very pleased with a podium finish considering Hurricane Emily was a factor. The race had a great spot for spectators. The local pier and beaches were jam packed with tens of thousands of spectators watching these powerful boats racing to a spectacular finish.

The boat was on display at the Miami Beach Carrabba's located just north of the famous South Beach for the weekend. A special thanks to the wonderful people at the Miami Beach Carrabba's, specifically Gary the owner, Glen, Michael, Pablo, Erica, and Vinnie. You guys are over the top.

This race was covered by OLN TV (Outdoor Life Network.) Check your local TV listing for times. Be sure to check out our photo coverage below of this event.

The boat was on the sidewalk outside the restaurant. It drew much attention as no signage is permitted on the streets by the local authorities.

Throttle man, Dave Flack brings the boat in after a test run on the waters. A cruise ship is seen in the background. The people on the cruise ship had a great view of the event!!!

Boats and fast cars can be seen in the dry pits...and some pretty fast scooters, too. It is not just about the boats.

As people came out of the South Beach Carrabba's they were confronted with the race boat including the teams scooters.

This Carrabba's is very unique with no signage permitted on the front of the building and attached to a hotel chain. It has been open for five months and is doing remarkably well.

The owner Gary was just over the top with the hospitality towards Carrabba's Team Blythe Racing. We cannot thank Gary and his staff enough and look forward to returning next year with a checkered flag to display.
