Rough Seas
at the New Jersey Grand Prix
New Jersey
Grand Prix was held in Brick, New Jersey from June 26th to
27th and Carrabba's Team Blythe was on hand. The boat was
driven by owner Todd Blythe and throttled by Glenn Wilson.
The seas were huge that day! Big waves are where Team Blythe
runs the best and showed it by coming in a close second. During
the race the team encountered it's first mishap in the boat
and racing teams history. The boat hooked in the rough waters
and threw throttle man Glenn on top of driver, Todd. Luckily
Glenn was not thrown from the boat and came through with some
minor scrapes and bruises. They had to pull off the race course
to make sure Glenn was okay to continue. Once the situation
was assessed the team got back on course, caught up to the
pack, and managed to get a second place finish in these very
rough seas off of Brick, New Jersey.
While
in Brick, New Jersey the team took time to stop at the local
Carrabba's Restaurant to enjoy some fabulous service, food
and fun. A very special thanks goes out to the owner, Chris
Blythe and this staff. The boat was on display in front of
the Restaurant for the entire race weekend where thousands
upon thousands of passerby's can see the boat and even stop
to get an up close look. Some lucky fans got to meet the team
and where the recipient of some free complementary gifts and
photos.
