Carrabba's Team Blythe in the Big Apple! Carrabba's Team Blythe went back to the Big Apple in early September 2003 to defend it's win from last year. The Grand Prix of New York drew many, many fans and teams to the Lower Manhattan Hudson River. The team got to race around Ms. Liberty and Ellis Island. The fans lined both shorelines, New York and New Jersey, for race day. It was a thrill for all who had the chance to be there. The boat was displayed at Liberty State Marina which is the state park associated with Ms. Liberty and Ellis Island. The race was covered by OLN TV (Outdoor Life Network). The cameras and crew were on hand to catch all the action. Be sure to check your local listings. Special thanks go out to the Greenbrook Carrabba's PJ, the owner, and his manager, Robert for the great hospitality, service and food. The boat was on display for the weekend at the Greenbrook Carrabba's in New Jersey just outside of New York. PJ, his wife and crew. This is Dave, our throttleman, and his Viper on display with the race boat at the race village. Here is the boat on display at the race village with Ms. Liberty in the background for all the public to come and admire. Spectators stroll the boardwalk at race village. Approximately 100,000 fans viewed the race on race weekend. Getting geared up to go racing! The race course took us on a tour of the lower east side, Manhattan. Ms. Liberty was right on the race course. Boats had to pass by in front of her. A great view from the boat! On our left is the famed Yankee Stadium, right off the race course making this event one of the best to particapate in. The boat makes its way through the boat traffic of spectators, judges and competitors to the race course. The boat comes back from a hard day of racing with Bonnie and Dave on board. Here we are at race village with the boat on display with the toter home and race trailer, easily seen by the public as they stroll through the village. From our location at race village we had a great view of the big city skyline. The event drew spectators from all over the world. Setting up camp at race village.
